The university had an expanding events schedule and to compliment this they needed to streamline and centralise their event check-in process whilst gaining greater attendee behaviour insight.
They required their ticket sales and event registration to stay live and available to guests throughout the vital final hours prior to the event opening. They also needed these late ticket sales and registrations to continue throughout the duration of the event to maximise event attendance levels.
To accommodate the late sales and registrations check-in data needed to be pushed in real time from the ticket sales and event registration channels directly to the check-in app ready for ticket validation. This would also keep check-in data administration to a minimum during the run up to an event.
The check-in experience needed to be improved in terms of speed of guest entry and attendee statistics.

Melbourne University events department now has a single web based client account control panel for their event administration with all event ticket sales / registration data integrated and synced in real time to a branded check-in app available on both iOS and Android devices (mobile and tablet).
To further enhance check-in they have purchased a number of Qflow laser scanning units. These units run a powerful barcode scanning engine that can scan all popular 1D and 2D barcodes. They come with an IP67 ruggedized body, industry leading battery life and are water proof. This easily caters for any mobile or outdoor check-in environment.
